  • Defining the interface between Gfarm and MapReduce: a Java native interface that allows  an implementation of the abstract FileSystem to access the Gfarm parallel I/O APIs library. The new JNI-FileSystem will be used by the FileInputFormat for reading the map-reduce input data and the FileOutputFormat for writing the map-reduce output files into the Gfarm filesystem.
