2009 summer

Week 1,2 (06/01/09 - 06/12/09)

  • Read a number of papers, including those from HP lab.
  • Try to figure out how to measure the processors' temperature.
  • Try to figure out how to use temperature sensors.
  • Read through a number of heat transfer tutorial.

 

2009 spring

Week 3 (03/23/09 - 03/29/09)

  • Analysis the data from Buffalo Data Center
  • try to get familar with matlab
  • Understand the AssessGrid Project
  • Fix a bug in web service security framework
  • Literature search for the power management  topic
  • Literature search for the data center topic
  • Get some knowledge about VMWare

Week 1 (03/09/09 - 03/15/09)

  • Literature search for the Virtual Machine topic
  • Literature search for the resource scheduling topic

 

2008 fall

to do:

  • extend calendar project
  • be familar with maven
  • be familar with globus security
  • encapsulate globus API (after super computing conference)

  • modify calendar part of gridshell paper
  • review 2 papers

Week 8 (10/21 - 10/27)

  • finished the planned development for calendar project
  • finished user manual for calendar project
  • worked on object definition for calendar project

Week 7 (10/14 - 10/20)

  • used Google Calendar to submit jobs
  • integrated subversion and maven into Eclipse
  • fixed some path problem in gridshell

Week 5,6 (9/28 - 10/13)

  • update calendar project
  • implement the qbets service and command line in gridshell
  • read through the paper “The Anatomy of the Grid”
  • prepare midterm for research method

Week 4 (9/21 - 9/27)

  • install globus
  • prepare presentation for grid computing I

Week 3 (9/14 - 9/20)

  • look into security stuff
  • finish calendar project

Week 2 (9/7 - 9/13)

  • looked into the Python ZSI thing for WS-Security client in python
  • implement python-base security web sevice client

Week 1 (9/1 - 9/6)

  • Work on WSIT demo.
  • Work on Calendar.
